Where to start with the legendary Noncompliant aka DJ Shiva we met her in 2015 during Movement in Detroit along with Paula Temple. Since then we've been family and supported each other throughout this change within the techno scene so it's with so much warmth and love we are hosting an almost 4 hour set of hers from Girl FX party, a femme focused event, that took place at Hot Mass. In October we shared a magical time at Unsound Festival, that will forever stay in our hearts. We're so elated for all the success that's coming her way and honored to host this mix. Tell us about this mix:
This was a super fun party at Hot Mass in Pittsburgh thrown by GirlFx. They focus on femme artists, so it was a super fun night with women front and center. This mix is a good example of what happens when I have a few hours to play. It runs the gamut from more minimal grooves to jack to bangin' techno to electro.
When did you start DJing?
I played CDs in punk clubs for a while, but I got my first garage sale plastic turntables in 1995 and I have been doing it ever since.
First gig:
My first notable out-of-town gig was in Indianapolis (I am from Evansville, Indiana originally) at the roaming Nocturna party in the basement of the Fairgrounds Inn.
Favorite party ever played:
That's a hard one. Right now the answer is Berghain because it was like a dream, only better.

Too many to name. Surgeon, DVS1, Paula Temple, Dr. Rubinstein, Erika, Sandrien, Anastasia Kristensen... I could keep going...
Fave producer:
Surgeon, Ben Sims, Paula Temple, Truncate, Ambivalent, Erika, CTRLS, Shawn Rudiman, Karen Gwyer...so many for so many different reasons.
Pet peeve when DJing:
People who think the DJ booth is their personal party zone. Have fun, but let the DJ work.
